Stuart Peacock is the modern day descendant of the Peacock family, whom the Graysons and the Leys have been feuding with seemingly forever.
Stuart is abrasive, obnoxious, and sticks his nose where it is not wanted. He and David cannot stand each other, but David has never done anything to provoke Stuart. The animosity is a continuation of the feud.
He is in love with journalist June Healey, but she ended the relationship because of Stuart's troubling behavior.
Stuart appears to just be a miserable, sour human being, but as Book Two progresses, readers learn that there is a lot more to him than he lets on.
